12/28/18 Update: Restaurant is closed permanently. Our new "go-to" Italian restaurant. The service was fantastic. The fresh bread basket was great, especially the spinach frittata. I ordered the Scampi and my wife ordered the Bolognese. Both highly recommended. The pasta was perfectly prepared (al dente).

A really great local gem, with a sophisticated menu that never fails to impress. Luca's is small, quaint, and very genuine and he and his team consistently prepare terrific food. The specials menu changes often, with interpretations of things he is known for (for example, the 50-layer Lasagna which is phenomenal) and fresh seafood. The pastas are always fresh and made right there. Salads and desserts are also innovative and delicious. Best of all, Luca's is BYOB and a great value, especially considering the quality. If you want to get away from all that "Jerseylicious" quasi-Italian fare found all over (and you should!) it is well worth the drive to Flemington to enjoy a great evening with Luca.

I didn't enjoy the apitizer we got. The texture for the calimari was not crunchy. But the service is good
