You would think that after over 11 years with the same contractor, that same contractor you paid preventive maintenance for on an HVAC system that same contractor installed, they would work with you when the system fails and give you a deal you couldn't refuse. At least that's what I thought. I bought a heating/air conditioning system from Carrano just over 11 years ago (mind you, my home was new construction and the system the builder installed lasted 20 years). I paid for what they call "Preventive Maintenance" each and every year after I bought the units but my AC unit fails just after the 10 year warranty expires (I guess Carrano defines Preventive differently than I would). You would think that Carrano would go out of their way to keep such a loyal customer but they didn't. And yes, they don't have to and they didn't. However, by not going out of their way to keep a loyal, long term customer speaks volumes about what they think about their loyal customers. Fact is, they just don't care about loyalty. If you are looking for a contractor who is there for you when you were there for them, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a contractor who only cares about themselves, making money and nickel and diming you, these are the guys you want. So I told Carrano I was going elsewhere which didn't matter to them. As a result, I got a better unit, at a lower price with longer parts and labor included and 3 years of REAL preventive maintenance included. They may tell you the other vendor offers a builders, inferior product and try and convince you theirs is better. If theirs is better, than why did my builder's system last 20 years and Carrano's only 11? I'm terribly disappointed with the way I was treated and wouldn't want that to happen to you. I used Carrano Air back in the winter. They installed a new A/C unit for me. It cost me almost $9,000. Everything went ok. I called them again on 8/31/21 because my water heater broke. They told me that nobody is available to install a new water heater and they have nobody to refer me to. If you’re looking for a place that respects and appreciates their customers, and gives good customer service; I’d suggest that you go elsewhere, because, basically, they’re attempt to keep their customers happy, sucks. I have no hot water, and am very disappointed. Won’t be using them again anytime soon, or recommending them to anybody that I know. They don’t care. They got my money, and that’s it. Just used Carrano Air for a High Efficiency heat and A/C installation yesterday and I’m extremely happy with their service. Their pricing was very competitive and the service was outstanding. They arrived first thing in the morning and got right to work with a crew of five. The crew was very professional and took extra care in keeping the area clean. The inside installation was in a small utility room which required some creative ductwork which came out beautifully. Once installed they fully tested and walked me through the system.
