Really nice owners, very friendly and pleasant to chat with. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Would recommend if you are staying in the Ashland area.

We stayed at the Cheney House in the spring and I’ve been meaning to write a review because it was such a wonderful experience. First, the house itself and its location are just beautiful: the intricate woodwork inside, the gorgeous Victorian exterior, the bucolic view while sitting on the peaceful front porch, the comfortable room and spacious common areas. The location was great too — we walked up the street to a nearby trail for some trail running and beautiful mountain views, passing farms and gorgeous homes on the way. You can also walk right into the village. And Ashland is a great location to jump off from when exploring Franconia Notch & the white mountains or lake winnepesaukee. Finally, Bobbi and Anthony were consummate hosts. They had a wealth of fun/crazy stories from their lives and were awesome breakfast companions, but were also very accommodating for our remote work arrangement. We enjoyed their company so much as well as their knack for giving their guests space and privacy — a great balance. They are quality people running a quality business. We would definitely go back anytime we are in the area again!
