Obviously the other two reviews are misleading at best, or perhaps completely biased. This place is a hideous mess. Walking in, it looks more like a storage area or cluttered attic than it does a book store. The options are poor and difficult to sort through, the books themselves are mainly ancient no-names, junk that has been collected at countless garage sales or donated from bargain bins. The prices are nearly half or more the cost of the book brand new, and if you do find a good title (granted this is difficult because navigating this hell hole is like being lost in a storage shed) the price will be jacked up even further. Some may appreciate stink pot shops like this, even find them quaint, but people who are looking to browse for interesting titles or donate decent books needn't waste their time. The two old women who run the shop would be charming if they weren't so mean-spirited and raw. I once stopped by to donate a box of books (good ones at that, most of them new from the last year) just to help a local business and was treated horrendously by the clerk who in 10 seconds had insulted me twice and acted as if I had meant to burn down her shop (which would have been an ascetic improvement by the way). Save your money and your time, let this place die a natural death and find its rightful place next to other mold covered, dank, cluttered, or otherwise disassembled junk yards. Even with conditions as they are the place might find pity from locals who like a small store in their neighborhood, if only the miserable harridans who run the place knew how to behave civilly with other human beings, especially those who wish to help them! These people have no business owning a bookstore, and from the look of things on the inside, they do not intend on keeping it much longer.

AVOID INCORRECT REVIEWS AT ALL COSTS!!! The Nov. 15 review suggests that the writer contacted a lawyer regarding the incident of selling books outside Plaza Books and was told by said lawyer that this Ann was dead wrong. Actually, it is illegal to sell anything on the sidewalks or streets of Las Vegas without a permit. This is one of the best bookstores in the city, handling top collectible books as well as low-cost used books. Stop by and see for yourself!
