Mixed bag with this company. Been using Swim In for a few years, buying automated cleaners and having them repaired when they break down. This last time we took the Pool Cleaner in for repairs in March, and I was charged $180 to replace some broken and worn parts. No big deal. Get it home, hook it up and it does nothing. Still broken.... At this time i was going on some business trips so I had to wait until May to take it back and again they wanted another $180 to fix it. Thats $360 to fix a 3 years old unit.. Got them to agree to put the first $180 towards a new unit which is $500, but if i am going to spend $360 to fix an old unit, i would rather buy a new one for a bit more. More to this catastrophe below. Now at this same time I asked if they could recommend a service company to come out and fix a leak around the spider valve. They sent out their guy, and he looks it over and starts recommending this O-ring, and that O-ring. Then said the spider gasket needed replaced and i agreed with it. 3 days later He comes out and does the repair while i was at work... Then i get a bill for $400 because he also decided to replace the top part valve of the spider valve... He didn't even tell me about it, just found it as part of the bill to my surprise. At this point i go out to the pump and see water spraying out of the same exact spot it was before Dan touched anything. Knowing that I have a bill now for $400, and a leaking unit still I again drive down to the middle of town through all of the horrendous thanks to Project Neon... When i get there, i let them know it is still leaking and they immediately call Dan to get him over to look at the issue. At this time I pay the 400 repair bill which has not fixed the problem, but also order the new Pool Cleaner which is another $500. They said it would be available in a day or so since they didn't have one in at the time. The following day i get a call saying my pool cleaner is in, and i can come pick it up anytime. Still no Dan to fix the issue i wanted fixed the first time he came out... So once again i drive down to the store to pick up my new cleaner knowing they close at 5, and i get there at 4pm and what do you know. They are closed. No warning, just a sign on the door saying they went to a graduation. Thanks for letting me know when you called me to say it was there to be picked up. The next morning, it is a Saturday I drive down once again to pick up my pool cleaner and i get greeted with the wonderful news that Dan has it. Are you kidding me? You told me to come get it, and not only did you not tell me you were going to close early, you gave it to Dan to drop off when he came over to fix the pump? A guy that still had not shown up 3 days later. That is 2 completely un-nessacary trips across town through the worst traffic Vegas has to offer that i did not need to make because you just gave my cleaner to the guy who still hadn't shown up.. I was told he should be there in a couple hours though.... 5 hours later right about as the store is going to close, Still no Dan so i call and ask where the hell he was. I was pissed off and made it apparent in my tone and wording. They didn't like that, but i am a customer who just paid nearly a thousand dollars for a cleaner and a repair and had neither So Dan finally shows up and makes the repair. 5 days later i get a call and am told i owe another $140. Because now he has replaced the Spider Valve body for $90, and another $36 in PVC piping cost? $36 bucks for a couple elbows and maybe 10" of tubing. I tell the lady ok, its going to be a week or so before i can get down there. This past Sunday Dan shows up and hands my 13 year old a note and tells her we better pay or else. Mind you, they are closed Sundays. Went in the store the next day and told them what he said and all i got was "oh, thats out of character for him." No sorry he said that, nothing. No sorry for telling you to drive across town through horrible traffic for a cleaner you paid for in full, after telling me to come get it.
