image Too many issues. Last year it was trying to get medications covered and my children's appointments with their psychiatrist, who is in-network and they still wouldn't cover after 3 visits. This year they won't cover any visits unless the practitioner uses the mountain health doctor-on-demand app which they aren't doing and shouldn't have to- it's making it near-impossiblr to get my children the treatment they need for their ADHD. Instead of helping patients and leaving treatment in the hands of specialists, mh is just hampering my children's treatment. I'm doing everything I can to drop them and change to another provider. I hate for-profit insurance anyway because this is going to keep happening but I can't handle mh telling me they care about my kids' treatment anymore while actively trying to avoid covering it.

image I work in a Providers office and I have never seen a company so unorganized. When I have questions, I get transferred 5-6 times just to be told they dont know who has the answers to my questions. Its an awful company trying to work with.

image Ive had this insurance for years. It was great until this year. I needed an MRI and they refused it. My GP and a Spine specialist said no PT until the MRI based on what they saw on xrays. I did all the appeals and it was still turned down as were the cortisone shots necessary to help correct the problem. I am now out almost 6K and they also aren't paying the PT bill. Had I just asked for pain pills they would have gladly given me those instead of actually fixing the problem. Moral of the story. Look for a different carrier.
In response to the below response. I have contacted you so many times that I can recite the number in my sleep. I followed all of your rules but made the mistake of actually following the "Doctors" advise because they are the healers. You did NOTHING.

image The absolute worst insurance company my mother and i have dealt with. They barely paid anything for in state and then reprocessed all of our claims for last year. They will not help us pay a dime which theyre supposed to. They also didnt help my mother pay for her mammogram, which is federal law that they have to pay. If you want to be in debt and worry about your health, use mountain health as your insurance. If you want better, definitely steer clear, and find one that will actually help you pay for things.
