Edit. They are merging to a company I am not familiar with, I feel like we will lose this great group to the new name and more service, but I will keep you posted. If you don't feel like your bank is doing its best for you, then its time to make a change. Summit Bank has always looked out for its customers. If you need a loan, options for savings accounts, IRA, CD's, etc. They are a full service bank. We have been using them for years, and choose to go to them because they DID NOT take any type of bailout. We intentionally move out money from banks that did. They have the most knowledgeable and friendly staff. Lets face it you have had money at banks you really didn't trust, that charged high fees, and didn't notify you if there was trouble on the account. You have to be a special group of people to get any praise from me, I expect a lot and they have always done the best. Its worth the change to a bank that cares.

I called the bank to ask information about getting a form notarized two times Apparently the branch I reached the first time was the branch on Douglas. I went into this branch not knowing that at the time and asked for the notary i spoke with regarding the form. I was given a dirty look by the notary and was told indirectly to the other bank teller that she wouldn’t notarize my document. I was even told to go to the other branch up the street. My incounter was unpleasant and I’m not a customer of this branch but was thinking about becoming one I will not be anymore. Thanks to the branch on Douglas I did get my form notarized but I felt like if I came in before the bank closed which was 5 and I was there at 415 why couldn’t I be serviced?! I had my child with me and she was asking why I couldn’t get the paper signed at that bank but the other one but I didn’t have an answer for her. The dirty looks I got from the staff made me feel uncomfortable but I do appreciate the Staff at the Douglas branch.
