Assisting friend with details on flooring install but very dissatisfied with the install of IVC CLIC flooring by Trinity/Underfoot , LLC. It took the company two attempts to install after installer broke locking tabs on all the planks on his first attempt, second attempt and a rework but the floor still does not lay properly. Appears installers not up to date on training for the latest flooring technologies? Since project started in the middle of 12/2018 the owner has not been unable to enjoy her home due the continual state of flux with the install project. It was expressed as only a two day project, one can do better else where. Currently the only 5 star review here is from a person with same last name as the owner but no info why they deserved that rating? They were given one star here because you can not leave a lower rating.
Follow up: 2/22/2019; I would only recommend using flooring outlets that are experienced in the trade and use installers that are certified by nationally recognized organizations and/or overseen by a certified general contractor in the local trades, yes there are reputable tradesmen out there but they are hard to find. This will add a little to the cost of the flooring project but in the end one will be better served and more satisfied with the results knowing a floor was installed properly to the manufacturers requirements. If your flooring was installed improperly one does not have a leg to stand on for any warranty claims down the road should one occur! The saga continued today with the owner coming out to the site along with 2 other employees of their company. According to their own words, none of them claimed certification by any organization recognized by the flooring industry and/or manufacturers, they just claimed to have experience. I guess if one does something WRONG hundreds of times it makes it OK ??
