image Office staff was very helpful to me. I am a Texas dealer and had a question about a MS title. They had no obligation to help me, but they did and were friendly in the process.
I can't comment on the vehicles, but generally good people work for good people...

image Some of the other reviews are glowing, but from anonymous users. I would advise concern when you aren't able to determine if the reviewer is affiliated with the company.
When I went in to purchase a used car, I found the staff at TAS to be very friendly and helpful. Overall though, I would recommend caution when buying a used vehicle here. I only work part time, so I was looking for something that wasn't going to be too pricey and TAS looked like they could deliver. The fact that they don’t use high pressure sales tactics was a relief in itself. I got what seemed like a decent car for $7,000 and that I was hoping to have last about two years. My last two used car purchases were a similar cost and lasted quite a while.
The car had minor issues when I did a test drive and it worked well for the first month. Since the warranty has expired, I've spent well over $3,000 in repairs. Most of the cost was associated with replacing the transmission. When the problems started, I contacted the dealer and was essentially told that there wasn't anything they could do for me now that the warranty was expired.
While I've owned the car for about 8 months now (purchased in late July), I've only been able to drive it for nearly 4 intermittently. This car has become a drain on my resources and time. It is, at least, a source of dark humor. For example, earlier this week, I finally felt like the car was in good shape and should do well for a year or so. I told my friends as much. This morning, the check engine light came on again and I need to make yet another appointment with the repair shop.
In some ways, it feels like I’m playing a sad game of roulette. Who knows what kind of repair will come up next? The only certainty is that I’m not likely to win any money. If I didn't have a loan to pay on this thing, I would have replaced it by now. I may still try despite the financial strain.
My suggestion would be to doubt what might seem like a really good price up front and, if you’re going for a used vehicle, either get a certified one or pay a couple thousand extra for the additional warranty coverage. On the other hand, if you’re a little lonely and looking for a friend, go for the bargain. It can be a great way to make friends at your local auto shop, tow services, and with helpful strangers.
I should mention that the representative was extremely pleasant to work with. When I contacted him at the start of the car troubles, all he could offer was information on extended warranty packages. I would advise giving those packages heavy consideration when you purchase. It will add a fair amount to the total price though.
Update: About a year later, the same vehicle has had numerous small problems. Most would be expected of a car its age, but it seems to be having yet another major issue. I will most likely sell it for what I can get and cut my losses on the loan. I strongly regret purchasing a car here.
