Have eaten there before and didn't have anything but good things to say. Not so, this time. Hopeful for a nice end to a great Father's Day, we went for dinner. While our server was very nice, he was somewhat forgetful. Ordered the Pasta Supreme for $17.00 and expected a healthy bowl of shrimp and pasta covered with a spicy sauce. The sauce looked great, but somehow the chef forgot to put in the flavor. It was absolutely void of any flavor whatsoever. Also ordered their famous "Shrimp and Grits", which in the past has been great. This time was very different. The sauce was good, but the shrimp seemed to be from a frozen bag, similar to what WalMart sells. If that wasn't bad enough, they overfilled the dish with cubes of ham. If we had wanted so much ham, we would have gone to Waffle House and ordered an omelet. Not opposed to ham, but it was so much, that they could have called it "Ham and Grits". The fat content in the ham was offensive and just couldn't swallow it without gagging. Come on guys. I know you can do better than this.

Went here due to good reviews. The biggest problem was the old shrimp. It had a very strong pool water smell. I was unable to eat my gumbo, it had sharp stems in it. I kid you not, one stuck into my mouth. Anyway, fried pickles were fine, along with the side salad of mixed greens. Steamed veggies edible, not great. Fried flounder and catfish edible, seemed fresh. Oysters had way too much topping on them. The Rockefeller ones were covered in spindip. The garlic parm ones had cheap parm, waxy when melted, not good. The seafood cake was all breadcrumb. The steak was cooked on flat top. It was like Waffle House steak with big price. Dessert was generic. If you want an excellent seafood meal, don't eat here. If you'd like an expensive diner seafood meal, with some unedible food, this is the place.
