My daughter was charged a "dormant fee" for not using her savings account. She is a first year college student living away from home and doesn't use her savings right now. Three calls to customer service (one that was disconnected after 25 min) and the issue is not resolved- all we want is the fee reversed. Considering moving all 6 family accounts elsewhere.

Get your money out this bank, FAST. Went to TCF in Blaine to check on my CD that I have had with TCF for over seven. The teller couldn't find my CD and blamed it on a new computer system. I presented her with my original CD certificate plus updates of my roll over and the teller continued to say she couldn't find my certificate. She couldn't tell me where my money went. They have no withdrawal slips or electronic transfer document. I filed a theft report with the Blaine police and FBI fraud division.
How can the bank lose a CD? The IRS keeps strong tabs on CD, so if I withdrew the CD the IRS would be aware.

Call center reps are RUDE AND ABRUPT. What happen to your bank? I had to call a local branch number to complain about the original call. We still had to call the (remote from home call center which our 3rd representative advised us of .) call center again to have our lost card canceled. If this is what TCF Banks are about shame on you. You should be embarrassed as a corporation and your local representatives are equally embarrassed, because they are the individuals receiving the complaints in person. Again shame on you TCF Bank for dropping the customer service ball. I have been a customer for over 15 years, Our time working together has come to an end. Shame on you.
