I had a really good steak while sitting out on the beautifully landscaped patio. Great service as well. Would love to return many times.

Food was mediocre at best. For the prices they charge I expected excellent. The walleye tasted oily. Steak was just OK. Minimal vegetables. Inconsistent amounts of sides with each diner in the party. Atmosphere and service were very good.

This was very disappointing. I've been eating at Kozlak's since the 1970's, I will admit I have not been there in about three years. Somethings have changed, a lot has not. My daughter commented as we drove up that things look like they have gone down, half of the lights outside are either burnt out or gone. We did have a Groupon so we had to make a reservation, why I don't know, this was a Thursday night 7:00 pm. It was not crowded. When we went in we where told we had to wait. The place was 25% full. Then we were taken to our table, the hostess dropped the menus on the table and walked away. What ever happened to showing the table, letting people get seated, saying hello and then handing out the menus? Next came the sticker shock! Prices at Kozlak's have gone up. Next after a few minutes a waitress came over and asked for our drink order. We all just got water. Then we looked at our menus and waited and waited for the waitress to come back. I got so tired of waiting I went to the salad bar. Another waitress noticed and she went to the table and asked if we had placed out order yet? My wife and son were planning on the Prime Rib, but no they were out of that. Of course you have no idea if they ever had any in the first place. So, my son ordered a $35.00 Ribeye that came with hash browns, he asked if he could have mashed potatoes instead? The waitress just said NO! There are no substitutions! If you want mashed potatoes you need to order the sirloin. I was stunned, we are five people and based on these prices we are going to spend around $200 with the tip and we can't get mashed potatoes. I'm beginning to understand why the restaurant is empty. So now the orders are in and we can look around, nothing on the inside of the restaurant has changed. Everything is the same, except the prices. I would also say they don't give you those engraved match books any more, but it's not their fault you can't smoke anymore so matches are passe. The great salad bar they used to have is gone with a smaller version tucked back in a corner with stuff in the back that was out reach for my wife. Also I don't remember the salad bar being extra with an entree, but it's now an additional $3. After about 25 minutes we got our food. We had the following and here is the rating... Back Loin BBQ Ribs, dry, no flavor, smothed in almost ketchup like sauce. Roast Plump Duckling, OK not great. Royal Oak Tenderloin Medallions, Usually medallions are sliced tenderloin. These were two pieces of meat, each about the size of a hamburger patty, flavor so so. Ribeye, no flavor. Broiled Australian Sea Bass, OK, not great. We were asked how everything was and we avoided the question. Later another waitress asked me directly how the ribs were? I had to tell her, and I will tell you she did offer me a steak, but knowing that the ribeye had no flavor why would I want one, so I said no. To our surprise they did take it of the bill. After our coupon our meal including tax and tip was almost $140.00. We will never go to Kozlaks again.

I couldn't believe it!!!! I have ate at Kozlak's before and the food and service was great! Im wondering what happened? From the poor service to the terrible food to the disgusting bathrooms .It all started with the drinks every got a drink and then it seemed that we were on our own after that because it was 20 minutes before we were asked if we wanted another .so we ordered another drink and our food while we had our waiter there.I ordered the large prime rib medium with a baked potato. my wife ordered the sirloin with a baked potato . so i went to the restrooms and i couldn't believe my eyes, the waist basket was over flowing with paper towels they were all over the floor and when i approached the urinals they were completely covered in pubic hair . I was shocked! when i got back to the table my food was sitting there.here was this raw piece of meat that looked like it was brought from the frig. to the plate and served. it was raw! and i ordered it medium everyone knows that medium is pink in the middle and brown around the outer edges.I didn't know what to do? you here the horror stories about sending food back.I tried to cut into it but couldn't it was so raw so i sent it back. They must of put it in the microwave for 10 minutes and brought it back.really? it wasn't any better.so for 47 bucks i'm sitting here with this piece of meat i wouldn't even feed my dog.I mean can you believe it. if i was the server i would not even think about giving that to my guest.and when you think they would check on you to see how the meal was going they did not. my wife needed steak sauce that when she finally flagged the water boy over to bring her some she was using my a jus because hers was over cooked.oh and when they brought back my road kill the 2nd time there was no bake potato. when i asked for it it came quite some time later.just when i thought we seen the worst they brought the check and it already had added a 17 percent tip for the awesome job they did.I will never eat there again and i will tell everyone i know how bad it was.i can tolerate a lot and make things work but that has to be thee worst meal and service i have ever had!!!!!!!!!!!
