image I had high hopes for this as the location to mayo is right across the street, but that wasnt enough to get us to stay. The light in the bathroom wouldnt stay on, bedding hadnt been changed in who knows how long, the door was busted on the bottom and the frame, the sink leaked. The room was uncomfortably cold. The entire experience was terrible. We checked out the next day and found a better hotel a few blocks down the road.

image I had previously written several messages to the hotel regarding my negative experience. After several tries, I finally received a response.
I was undergoing medical evaluation at Mayo during October. I am an 85 yo senior, handicapped, traveling alone.
During my first night at the hotel, I left my purse in the hotel restaurant. When I retrieved it the next day, all of the money.$400.00 had been taken. I was left with one dollar.
The manager showed me footage which showed the waitress picking up my purse and placing it at the end of the bar. This puzzled me. Why did she put it there? The front deck clerk said it was found on top of a trash can by the elevator. She also said money was intact.
Not so.
The hotel did absolutely nothing to find what happened.
I was told in the response message that they were sorry the hotel didnt meet my expectations. HUH?. Expectations?.. After having all my money taken and talking about expectations.
I have stayed in hotels all over the world. This rates as the worst.
