Right across the street from the Mayo. It's very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is a step above.

I have been a frequent guest at this hotel, staying 5-10 times a year due to medical visits to Mayo Clinic, including cancer treatment. However, my recent experience has left me extremely disappointed. Upon check-in, the older female manager was incredibly rude and seemed more concerned about our dog, for which we paid a pet fee, than about providing a hospitable experience. Despite being a pet-friendly hotel, she made us feel unwelcome and harassed. To make matters worse, on the day of my surgery, my husband was called by the hotel claiming that our dog had been barking incessantly all night, causing disturbance to other guests. This was absurd as my dog was asleep with us. My husband had only left the hotel briefly to drop me off for my surgery. The dog was unattended in total for an hour. Additionally, our floor was filled with other dogs, some of which barked frequently, not to mention the constant crying of a baby, yet we were singled out. It's utterly appalling that during such a challenging time medically, the hotel management chose to add unnecessary stress and difficulty by harassing us over our pet, especially considering their claim of being pet-friendly. While the younger staff members provided a good experience during other stays, it's evident that the older female manager and her older colleague need to reconsider their approach to customer service or consider retirement.

I stayed at Aspen Suites about a week ago and I was on a floor that had dogs, yes I knew that they were pet friendly however there was one dog in particular that barked all night and all day long. It kept me awake all night long and I had mentioned it to the front desk that morning and was told that they had received the same complaints from others on the same floor as me. I wasn't upset but wanted them to be aware they may have additional guest that would be. Thought that it was very disrespectful of the pet owners to bring a pet that is known to bark. The staff quickly resolved the issue and had a fantastic night sleep the additional days that I was at this hotel. A majority of people are staying for various appointments and treatments at Mayo and these patients need their rest if you know that your dog barks please respect others and get a dog sitter. Your dog and other guests staying around you will appreciate it! The shuttle and drivers were amazing. All of the hotel workers/management were so friendly and helpful when asking questions about the shuttle and what were certain buildings at Mayo. I appreciated the extra time that they took with me to give me a map and highlight pick up times/drop off times. My first shuttle came and I was right on time (didn't know that I needed to be 10 min early my fault) and they had him come back and pick me up so I didn't have to be late to my appointment or drive myself! I was able to check in early due to my room being cleaned and ready, I was expecting a no as I was fairly early. Breakfast was terrific and they also offer a light (so they say) evening meal free of charge. WOW that is what I call customer service! Thank you to all of you at the hotel, keep doing what you are doing. I know that I was very impressed with everything and will be staying and recommending your hotel to others going to visit Rochester or have appointments at Mayo! Rooms: I appreciated the recliner in the room I had to watch TV. Everything was clean! Food & drinks: They have a little store to get a snack, drinks, or something light to eat, which I used daily. They offer free breakfast that is amazing! They offer a free light supper to guests - which is unheard of and it wasn't light at all! Had a few meals next door at the Canadian Honker which was awesome because you could just walk and didn't need to drive. Noteworthy details: Loved the underground FREE heated garage to park in - nice touch and I felt safe alone!

Thank you for your comments, we wish you well. It is challenging sometimes to have dogs in the hotel when people here are not well and trying to rest at all times of the day. Sorry that we had to call during a difficult time. Warm Regards, Laurel
