I ordered yellow daisies and yellow carnations. The idea was just yellow to cheer up a friend. When my friend sent me a picture of what she actually received I was very disappointed. The carnations were white with pink. I suppose its better to order in person but I live quite a distance away.

I bought a dozen sun flowers for $60 and they died within the next day! The manager told me you shouldnt have bought sun flowers and did nothing but laugh and be rude about my order. She said you should have your heat set below 65 degrees?? Horrible service!

I attempted to send flowers to a friend in the ICU in Ann Harbor over the holidays- it's a pretty sad time to have a sick loved one and so a service like this is meaningful and important. I got direct delivery instructions from the medical department and still put all necessary information in the delivery info as well so that everyone involved knew exactly where to go- however the instructions were very simple. I get a call from Thrifty that the delivery was returned. I ask why it was returned and the girl said "I don't know, I didn't ask. Sometimes they can't find the location they're supposed to deliver it to. Should I try again tomorrow?" I said "Yes please do that since the point is to have flowers on Christmas for a sick friend. And also, if they get returned again, can you please ask questions next time? It's not very helpful for a delivery service to ask zero questions about what went wrong with the delivery. I need to know if the driver was confused or if the flowers were rejected or sent to the wrong place". I ask two days later if my friend received flowers and they had not. I gave it some time and asked again, mainly because it was the holidays, I know deliveries can be busy during this time, and I was waiting to see if things just got lost in translation. A week later, I get no refund, no phone call from thrifty and still no flowers. I call and am very nice considering the circumstances. The lady tells me "it says it was delivered" with no additional information but then says "we will refund you this time, but next time you need to contact us within 48 hours." I said "if that's your policy, then you need to tell your customers that. I was being nice and patient and the lady on the phone said nothing about contacting you guys in 48 hours". I then asked "Where were they delivered? to what department? did someone ask for a name of the person receiving them?" and she said "Ya unfortunately we don't put that information in". You're a DELIVERY SERVICE? So I said "So you'll just give the flowers to some random person, hope they end up where they're supposed to go, and then blame the buyer if they don't end up there and you aren't contacted within a time frame you don't disclose to customers?" and she simply said "Yeah, unfortunately". All in all, there are so many other companies to support. If you read other reviews on here, there's quite a few delivery issues and they do not care to be diligent or follow up. I'd HIGHLY recommend using any other service.
