Silver Beach Hotel

I stayed here once and will not be back. Apparently everyone who stays here is a heavy smoker; between the housekeeping staff smoking and the large number of people who smoke on their balconies. You will be guaranteed to smell second-hand smoke a LOT.

I had a lot of fun on my one night stay here. The bar staff is friendly and helpful. Jacuzzi and swimming pool area is very clean. Staff is friendly. However, interior and furniture could use an update. Many pieces of furniture were janky or damaged. On a more positive note, complimentary coffee and breakfast 🍳

We stayed 2 nights back in September. Was charged for 3. When we checked out I told the clerk we were charged extra. She said it was a computer issue and she couldn't get it fixed at that time and that she would inform management and the charge would drop off. Well it didn't. I called and spoke with management she said she would fix it and I would be issued a refund that weekend. No refund. Called back she apologized and said she would reissue it. No refund. Called back no one would talk to me. I contacted BBB they would only put my complaint to their file. Called yesterday and they are under new ownership and the current owner said it wasn't his problem. I will never stay here again. They do not care about their customers.

The staff was very friendly. Close to the beach. That's all for positivity. The hotel is dated. The online pictures are either stock photos or what the hotel looked like 10 yrs ago. The rooms need a major overhaul. I booked the king suite with jacuzzi. Got into the room, its supposed to be two rooms... well between the bedroom and the living area there is no door. The jacuzzi is in the bedroom and one for everyone in the other room to see. We requested a room change and were obliged. However, we moved into two double bed rooms that connected. Where to start... the rooms have a stench. They were clean walking in but once inside of well kept. In one of the rooms one of the beds box spring was broken. I was afraid my 10yr old may fall off the bed if he slept on it. Then noticed the bed was moved from the headboard only to discover the bed frame was away from the wall and also broken. While viewing the bed there was some candy stuck to the wall. At this point we decided we were only sleeping there so we made sure no one slept on that bed. Plus it was about 11pm at this point and everyone was exhausted. The bathrooms need help! The crilings can tell if it's age or mold. I chose the place because there is a pool and the pictures. Stupid me should have read reviews. The pool was just a pool but really needs someone to come and walk it every now and then. A bunch of kids with no supervision where kn the pool, hot tube and sauna. It was hard to be in there with small kids. As we were leaving and getting our things together I checked the refrigerator to find a bottle of lemonade that did not belong to us. For what we paid for the rooms we could have stayed at The Boulevard Inn for the same price.
