I'm really disgusted at the outcome of my experience. In my opinion, my realtor Faith Newberry did not make it clear to me that there would be a $2,500 minimum fee to sell my $7,500 property until I had accepted an offer. The outcome was that because of what I felt was a very unreasonably high realtor cost I ended up losing about $1,500 on the purchase and sale of this property. I was really put out by the way she handled the situation once it was finally clear that I was going to have to pay out to sell the property. She basically made it clear that I was going to be forced to sell the property so that she could get her commission and I may be facing lawsuits if I dare not go through with the transaction. I'm so unimpressed with her, in my opinion she was definitely not professional. For some reason I thought that as her client I was going to be put first, apparently not. I have bought or sold over a hundred properties over the last couple years and this is the worst realtor I have dealt with.
The only reason I ended up going through with sale was because the buyer came up a little bit higher on his price and Dean the broker at remax was willing to reduce his commission by a small amount to soften the blow on my end.
Not impressed!
