This is my second review, this one in response to Todd because I couldn’t add the update to my previous review: Dear Todd, I honestly think it is absolutely RIDICULOUS to be writing reviews back and forth but I guess the honest one star review of the apartment complex is just too hard to handle. Also don’t you think you should be responding to the person who actually lived there and is experiencing the issue?? No? Guess my review was just too factual that you’d rather go back and forth with me rather than the person you could actually rectify the situation with. You’re lying. Sorry but you are. You say that Karen was trying to work something out with you but stopped when my review was put up. First of all, nice try lol. Trying to act like the real blame is on me and my review. There are emails back and forth from LONG before I left my review where Karen literally says “Kelly, I don’t get involved with these types of things. You will need to recoup it from your roommates.” Not, “let me see what I can do, I’ll talk to the cleaning company.” She straight up told my friend “I do not get involved with these types of things.” My friends mom called and faced a similar response, again not “I’ll see what I can do” but basically “Don’t involve me.” Your comment that says “Although I have not been involved in face-to-face communication with you, or your friend, I have read the public correspondence, and quite frankly, most of the comments are a bit misstated and hurtful. It has been a tough year for most people, nobody is excluded” is crazy lol. We were hurtful and misstated?? No, no we were not. We have proof of every statement we made. We were not hurtful, we were honest. If the honesty hurts then maybe this complex should reevaluate the way they do business. Also, you’re correct. This year WAS a tough year for most people, so why is this apartment complex charging extra fees on a college student without telling her upfront?? Let’s not forget the fact that someone at the apartment complex literally searched for me on Instagram and was looking through my account? Weird behavior for a professional business. I’m also sick of being “threatened” with legal fees. My review was factual, it will not be coming down. If you wanted to resolve the matter then somebody could have called Kelly or you could have responded to her review, it’s not like her information is unavailable. It’s clear that it’s not a resolution you’re looking for, you’re just trying to disprove my review but I was nothing but honest. This is my last response to this issue, my reviews are staying up and if you truly care about a resolution then you can go to the person who was wronged.

I left a one star review and was told twice by Silveri Management Company (the firm that manages Meadow Crossing) that they would sue me for defamation if I didn’t take my review down. They claimed I had no first hand experience as I was writing the review about a friends experiences. It was definitely not defamation by any means but because of that, here is another review written with complete facts that I myself can provide proof of if we do need to take this to court. My friend lived with three other roommates in a pet friendly apartment, when she moved out she was charged for damages because she had a cat that lived in the apartment and the new tenant was allergic. First of all, if you are advertising pet friendly apartments you shouldn’t move a tenant with an allergy into the same apartment that three cats lived in. Second of all, you shouldn’t place blame on the previous tenants BUT even if you had to, my friends cat is hypoallergenic. She reached out to Karen Kilmer about getting the charge taken off of her account because her cat is hypoallergenic and in no possible way could the cat have contributed to the hair and dander causing the new tenant to have an allergic reaction. Karen basically told her that it wasn’t her problem and we have the emails to prove that. She was unprofessional with both my friend and my friends mother who tried to call her and work things out. There was no issue with the state of the apartment until after the new tenant moved in. I feel as though it’s unfair to charge somebody money for extra cleaning when the condition they moved out in was acceptable to the apartment complex at the time. They moved out in May and she was charged in August. They were okay with the condition of the apartment for TWO months before deciding to randomly charge her. While that friend of mine lived in Meadow Crossing she was bribed with a gift card to write a good review of the apartment complex. If you look at the review written by Michael Jensen 2 years ago, he confirms this. Kayla Allison’s review from a year ago also mentions bribes. I am entitled to leave a review based on a friends personal experience as I have seen the emails sent back and forth between her and the property manager. This is not defamation, it’s freedom of speech. Threats of suing over a bad review is extremely telling of how this apartment conducts business. Update: Whoever runs their Instagram account looked up my Instagram and is now watching my stories even though I don’t follow them & have never watched any of their stories before. (Plus as they pointed out, I don’t live there and never have so why are they stalking someone who isn’t even a resident??) They obviously searched for me themselves, weird!!

i was charged for cleaning fees in august bc someone had an allergic reaction when moving into my old apartment from cat hair from the apartment i lived in. i own a hypoallergenic cat and we moved out in may. (there were 3 other non hypoallergenic cats in the apartment the entire summer). Karen Kilmer was extremely rude to myself and my co-signer about this issue, and said it didn’t matter how much proof we had about her being hypoallergenic because they weren’t going to change anything. so instead i was charged for something i was not responsible for. why would they even move someone with allergies into an apartment that previously had a bunch of cats? makes no sense to me. they literally tried blaming us for the duct work needing to be redone😂 pretty funny to me how all the common areas had to be cleaned due to cat hair and dander but my bedroom didn’t, when that’s where my cat was 90% of the time anyway. this whole past year has been absolutely nothing but issues with meadows. so glad i’m finally out of there.
