Capt'n Elmer's Seafood Restaurant & Market

This place is fantastic! We went here with a group of 11, which can be tricky to handle and seat for a new restaurant, but they pulled it off! The service was great- we didn't have to ask for refills on anything, they just appeared! The personal pizzas were definitely our favorite menu item, and they were very reasonably priced. Will be returning here soon!

We arrived this past Tuesday for dinner, our first time at this new establishment. We were impressed by the ambiance of the restaurant. We both ordered the Smoked Haddock Chowder. It was good. The bread sticks, which were nicely presented, were undercooked. Our entree's were Shrimp and Scallops Casserole and the Lobster Roll. I asked to substitute the Sweet Potato fries with the Herb Roasted Baby Potatoes. When the dinner arrived, my Lobster roll came with Sautéed baby vegetables and when I told the waitress, she told me that no, I had ordered the vegetables, there are no baby potatoes on the menu. I insisted I ordered the potatoes, she said I hadn't, asked if I wanted a side of the potatoes and I said yes. The Shrimp and Scallop casserole was good, not great, the Lobster roll was poor. The roll was soggy, lobster very wet and over seasoned. The potatoes were good. When the bill came, I was charged with both sides, the additional cost for the baby vegetables that I didn't order plus an extra charge for the potatoes. The staff should know this is not the way to treat a customer. We won't be returning.
