I am not familiar with Jamaican food, but I work in the area, and heard that this was a great place.
I went for lunch on a week day with a friend, and we shared the chicken curry w/ rice (portions are big enough to share between two) and a side of fried plantains. Both were yummy! Flavors were rich, but the food was also pretty heavy. Definitely not diet food.
Also, the staff is really nice. When the waiter found out that this was our first time eating Jamaican food, he brought us a complimentary beef patty. While the pastry was flaky and buttery, and the meat was moist and flavorful, there seemed to be an overwhelming amount of pastry and not so much meat.
Even though I am not a Jamaican food expert, the food was definitely good, and I'll definitely be going back for more.
