July 15th I received an add via email from New Balance stating "buy one, get one 50% off all footware through July 17". On Saturday, July 16th, we traveled 90 minutes to the New Balance store in Grove City Outlets in Pennsylvania to purchase shoes. We each selected two pair of shoes, assuming one would be 50% off per the add. When we went to pay, we were told that their computers were acting up, therefore all shoes were full price. Another customer asked why they couldn't manually enter the discount to honor the ad and were told they could not. Several customers put their purchases down and left. We traveled a distance to get there so we did purchase our shoes,
I sent copies of the ad and receipts to new balance customer service, requesting a refund of 50% for the second pair of shoes we each purchased. I was told they could not help as the shoes were purchased online?!? The gave me a different customer service email to send my request to which I did, but received no response. This is very close to false advertising if not a bait and switch tactic. Very bad customer service in both the store and online.

Took handicap husband for a pair of shoes. He got up to get try a different pair and another man came in and sat down next to me on the bench. When my husband returned he had no place to try his shoes on because this store had large boxes and boxes taking up the space on the bench When I went to buy his shoes I said you need more benches she said more benches? I said yes, so people can try on shoes. She (Tia) said it is benches in other places .
