Savage River Lodge

We stayed in a cabin and it was great. Just what we wanted - a place to unplug. Our cabin was clean with no issues. Did not eat in the restaurant during this stay, but did have meals delivered or picked up at the bar. No complaints. All was prepared very well. Staff was very attentive and friendly. I understand the struggles of finding and keeping staff in this location, but we did not want for anything. Thank you, SRL! See you again, soon.

Had a great stay at the Lodge over a snowy MLK weekend! Our cabin was beautifully appointed, and it's tough to say who enjoyed it more--my husband and me or our dog Marvin, who loved the free homemade dog biscuits that were delivered to the cabin each morning (along with muffins and OJ). We opted to have food from the restaurant delivered to our cabin each evening instead of dining in person, which we appreciated during COVID. Loved hiking the trails in the snow, and coming back to our cabin to warm by the fireplace in our cabin afterwards. And we wanted to give a special shoutout to the owner, Mike, who personally took more than an hour out of his very busy day to give us a ride to a car rental location after our car broke down during our stay (though we would've secretly loved to have been stranded at the Lodge for the week)! Anyway, we will definitely be back!

This is my second visit, 1st was in 2014, and it was amazing. We stayed in a yurt and it was nice. Food at the lodge was great. Looking forward to going back soon.
