POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! WORST COMPANY EVER! My grandmother passed August 25! I found out she had a life insurance policy on me in October, I called and started the process. I was informed kemper would have to order the original application to provide information. Three days later, the application was finally on file. I was told to submit a policy change request if I wanted to cash out the policy. I submitted the information as requested, I was told the check would process within 7-10 business days. I did not receive the check, I called for an explanation. I was told I would need to submit a small estate affidavit. The agent told me I would need signatures from my grandmothers siblings. once I submit this new information, I could cash out my policy. November 24, I got the signatures and the affidavit notarized. I submitted the information over to kemper life November 25th. They did not receive my information until December 5. I was told my application would process and I would receive my check within 7-10 business days. Today December 9th, I received a call from Melanie Grey stating I would not get the money until my affidavit was filled out correctly. According to Melanie Grey, my grandmothers children were supposed to sign the affidavit not her siblings. Three months they have given me the wrong information. If they hadnt of messed up, I would be getting my check on December 20th. Ive called the supervisor vickey Daniels and she has not returned my call for the second time.
