    Recently had an emergency situation at my 91 year old mother's house of a severely cracked drain pipe leading from the rear of the house to the front and out to the sewer. Blackburn and Davis sent two young men out who took measurements, photos and worked to prepare an estimate which I received by email the next day. The price was very fair and they began work immediately. Unforunately we were hit with a monsoon which was followed by a week of sub-freezing weather which slowed the repair somewhat but the company kept me up date regularly and finished the work really much quicker than I expected. The entire staff of B&D was very professional, responisive to my questions and worked with me to help keep my mother's stress level down. Should I need plumbing repair anytime in the furture I will be returning to this company and recommend the highly!

    Our AC went out during a severe heatwave and this company was recommended to us by a family friend. Wish I would have known they were going to charge us almost $500 in labor for less than an hour worth of work. The repairman came at a time when only my daughter was home. He walked in and looked at the breaker box (where I had purposefully turned the AC breaker off) and decided that the flipped breaker was the problem. This was what he decided was wrong even though it was explained to them during set up of the appointment exactly what part needed to be replaced. So he flipped the breaker and I guess the part was able to pick up a little charge while it was turned off and it decided to work so he left. Well, about 45 minutes later my husband comes home and guess what isnt working? Yep, the AC. So the repairman was called to come back out and lo and behold the part that I specifically said was bad was the problem. The repairman then left to go pick up the part and upon returning spent about 45 minutes actually fixing the issue. This time when he left there was no mention of cost or when we would be billed which I thought was odd. We were then blindsided with a mailed bill 2-3 weeks later that was over $800 total. Almost $500 of that was for cost of labor! I sure wish I could find a job that paid me nearly $500 an hour. To say we were blown away is an understatement. Listen, I understand that services rendered must be paid for, but that was a rip-off. We will never again use this company and I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone. Service: HVAC system repair

    We called Blackburn Davis to help install a smart toilet, upon arrival the two men stated they had never installed a toilet like that and did not like "fancy" toilets, they spent over an hour on the telephone (mostly on hold) with the manufacturer. I was eventually handed the phone to explain the issue and was told parts were missing. Granted missing parts were not Blackburns' fault and ultimately the toilet was sent back and replaced and we installed it personally (all handled by ourselves, not them). However, we were charged $220.00 for a phone call (I did most of the explaining). I called owner/manager and was told the charge was the charge and it did not matter if they did anything; the meer fact they were dispatched was the reasoning. I offered half the service charge as a consult/estimate a very average charge for other services but was told it was unacceptable. We will NEVER use them again and will not recommend them either.
