The tellers are not very helpful at times. And actually have refused to help me at others. So wasnt too thrilled by any means!!

When I first moved to Iowa City, I was approached by my friend who asked me if I would like to open up a business. I replied with a "yes", and the two of us set out to accomplish our goal. While we did not require a loan (our businesses overhead was extremely inexpensive in our choice of industry), we still required a business checking account. This might seem simple to most, but it would soon prove to be an extremely challenging obstacle. We applied at every possible bank we could. And everywhere we asked the question, we were always met with a shut door in the face, or a busy signal on the phone. It had almost become an impossible feat. After all, it was a mere checking account. However, my credit had suffered through hard personal times of my own, but it still seemed rather straight forward. After hurdle, and every possible dead end, we finally received an answer. One that we thought would ever come. US Bank had decided to give us a chance, and invited us in to set up the account we needed. They helped my business get on the right path to accepting payments, from both checks as well as debit/credit card payments, with very low transaction rates. Now, this 5 star rated service, has been running for going on four years. There is not a doubt in my mind that we would not have made it to the level of success that we have, without the help of US bank. They had our company's back when nobody else did, and I know that if I ever have the opportunity to repay them, for giving the company with no name a second look, I would not hesitate to do so. There is nothing better then walking into your financial institution, and being greeted with a smile of familiarity, and a "Hey Coady, how are you doing today?". From Jessie, to Devin, and all of the fantastic team that works at this location, their ability to bring a smile to your face is not a duty, but instead is something that comes naturally. It is not something you get at most businesses today, let alone a bank. Over time, the sense of being comfortable with them, becomes an amazing reminder of a businesses ability to make a person feel wanted and appreciated. If there is ever a problem, I will not hesitate to call them, because I know that they will listen to my concerns. I have been asked many times over the course of our business operations who I would recommend for banking. And every time, I have answered with the same response... " I use US Bank. Because they know that the success of a business is about more than credit, it's about giving a second chance". Thank you so much for giving this little company today, a big future tomorrow!
