Deny services for basic, common-sense approaches but approve for some more aggressive, unreasonable interventions. Customer service is lacking and often times they can't access information about which you have called. Web site is not great. EOBs are delayed or non-existent. Find another plan if you are considering!

Their customer service is very poor, they always have an attitude when I call, like how dare I bother them... I just wanted an estimation of cost and she read my entire benefit plan to me, which I am well aware of and since their expensive plan with a high deductible won't pay anything til reach said high deductible, I wanted to know the cost of an appointment I had. She said she it could vary on how they bill it but online there are numerous estimation of cost available for tons of different services but could not give me one, apparently. Never heard of an insurance company not being able to atleast give an estimate.

Ive been on hold for hours. No option for a call back. While on hold you will be spammed with the same 4 messages over and over. It is grotesque. With all the money this company makes they could easily hire a few more reps. I dont know how this company has a 4.1 rating. Its suspect.

An abysmal place to work. Sea of desks, no walls. Turnover was well over 60%. Pay was 25% below market for the Des Moines area. Stand offish employees - disengaged. Ageist.
