Thunder Ridge Apartments

I lived in these apartments for three years. Overall they were okay. The pros include: decent sized apartments, maintenance is usually quick to respond, competitive pricing, and they are in a good location. The cons are: The cost of rent was increased every year we lived there, the washers and dryers were frequently out of order, and the apartments needed updating. In our basement apartment we got water a couple times when it rained heavily. Also, like many of the reviews have mentioned do not expect your deposit back. We were charged for damage that was there before we moved in. After talking with management they did cut the charge in half since we told them it was there when we moved in, but we still ended up paying $150 for something we didnt do. Make sure you take a bunch of pictures when you move in to prevent them from unfairly charging you!

I'm a student at UNI and I lived here for only one semester. It was a terrible experience. The apartment complex is very old so you can hear every footstep and it's unbearably loud. People at the front desk and maintenance were taken back at the noise level when they checked it out, but nothing was ever done. I was woken up every single morning at 5:30am to my neighbors simply getting ready for the day and couldn't get to sleep at night- they weren't necessarily the problem. Told management about it and they didn't do anything. The space that was provided from Thunder Ridge was uninhabitable because I was disrupted every single day I lived there. I had recordings of the sounds of the creaking, sent it to management, and they didn't do anything - no response from them and no financial compensation. I had the worst headache from living here and dealing with management. The woman at the front office repeatedly said management was going to reach out....never did. Didn't care about any of it. Not angry, just extremely disappointed. I 100% would not have rented here if I knew how extremely terrible the living conditions were, but the neighbors weren't home when I toured the apartment so I didn't get to gauge the noise level from above. Wish I had never lived here - made my last semester in college dreadful.

Quiet neighborhood they have a little fitness/gym area, welcome dogs, have s little dog park area, and the shortness are nice too!
