I hate to bash someone's business online in this way but after all of the issues I've had I feel like this is necessary. I did some research on a vehicle, decided I wanted to make the 2 hour drive up and look at a 2011 golf that was for sale at this dealer. It was two Days before Christmas and it was freezing outside and when we got there the car was in the garage and it was recently sprayed down with water. When we went out to look at it the first thing the owner of the dealership did was pop the hatch and let me look into the trunk. Okay no problem. I'm looking over the front end and notice some evidence suggesting the front bumper had been re sprayed. He assured me it was just dirt in the crevices not left over residue from the masking tap. Again okay. So we are negotiating a price on the vehicle when another gentleman pulls into the parking lot with his music blasting. He walks in and the owner tells him he will get back to him with a schedule. I'm now thinking this guy was the one who fixes the cars up before re sale. So we're sitting there talking and he's explaining how he's a very religious man and there is evidence of this in his lobby. I'm explaining to him how I really got burnt on my previous car and I can't afford to have that happen again because my girlfriend and I were saving for our future a home and a wedding. I asked him multiple times if he had done any work on the car he assured me no. Long story short I buy the vehicle and get it over to a car wash a few days later. The bottom of the tailgate is all rusted(why he opened the tailgate right away). The top of the car was all scratched up including two car width wide scratches that are down to the metal. The front end of this vehicle has been completely re sprayed and there was even evidence of the job from masking tap on the top of the fenders. I realize this is in the end my fault as I am the buyer and the car is as is but I feel like the quality of vehicle should have been much better then what I am receiving. I was lied to and deceived. As I write this, my car is at the dealer because it is now having engine issues and a check engine light is on. This guy is only in it for the money. He is not the honest guy he portrays. When I was at the bmv trying to register the vehicle they informed me the title was not completely filled out and that I would need a mileage form from the previous seller. Well I call grs and he tells me to go into my car and forge the document. Illegal and unethical. Very sad. Make sure you are ready for some issues to pop up and know the vehicle you are looking at is not what it seems.
