University Woods Apartments

Ive lived in three different townhomes here over the past five years. The electrical has so many code violations. The parking lot is terrible. All windows are way out dated. Over priced. Moving this week and will never refer or come back!!!!!!!!!!! I will say that the property manager is great, but the owner will not put any money in the place to make it feel like home.

This apartment complex's only redeeming quality is that it is cheap. If you are broke, but don't want to live in Louisville then this is a place to go. Be prepared to deal with a great number of headaches from management and maintenence though. I lived there for a little over a year and asked for the weather strip to be fixed on my window where there was a previous break-in every month for the full 14 months I lived there and it NEVER got fixed. But they did somehow find time to enter my apartment without any notice to "change a furnace filter" on a furnace that I never used because I never even turned the gas on because I didn't want to pay a deposit to the gas company. Twice while I lived here the sewage system backed up into my bathroom and into the hallway and they tried to charge me for the damage to carpet from THEIR sewage problem. I am not talking about a plugged toilet, I am talking about a certified sewer problem where raw sewage spewed out of my sink, tub, and toilet randomly in the middle of the night ruining everything I had in my bathroom. As if all of this was not bad enough, management seemed to forget that when I first moved in I payed last month's rent and then when the month came they never even called me about it, they just stuck an eviction notice on my door for all too see. When I talked to management about it, they said that according to their book I only paid first month and deposit when I moved in. I had to produce the paper copy of my reciept to prove it to avoid a prompt and unjustified eviction. Finally, enough was enough and I moved out. NEVER expect security back from this apartment because they found plenty of stuff that was just normal wear and tear to overcharge me for and after all they did they still produced a bill above and beyond my security deposit. You have been warned. In this renters opinion you should only move here if you have no other options.
