I've had this as renter's insurance in Frankfort, Indiana for the last year and literally EVERY SINGLE TIME I've called their office with a question they have not once been able to help me. They don't do that or they don't know how to do that and they don't know who in the company can help me. It's a horrific run around and they give me random phone numbers of someone who might be able to help but they rarely can or have no idea why the local office gave me that number. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!! So thankful I'm moving and ending my policy soon! I definitely will not use State Farm for anything again.

Tony has been my agent for SEVERAL years. I have ALWAYS been blessed with the service he, his wife and staff has provided. I consider them all family and trust they will ALWAYS do the right thing. Bless this office, his customers and staff in the name above ALL names, Jesus Christ!!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
I would strongly advise you to seek a different Insurance Agent and Insurance company and use my terrible experience as a prelude of what you can expect. I understand all/past experiences may be different, I have been with this agent for almost 30 years, never late on a payment, and I have absolutely paid him more than he has paid out for my insurance coverage. However, this is addressing current claims and the reality of what you can expect if/when misfortune strikes you soon.
1. If you want the extra hassle of filing a complaint with the Indiana Department of Insurance to get a claimed resolved, this is your place. CURRENTLY PENDING INVESTIGTION WITH INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE.
Had to file a complaint with the IDOI for failing to respond to emails and messages in order to attempt to resolve.
2. If you expect to talk to your agent regarding your policies and claims, this is not the right place.
Prior to 3 June, the last time I spoke to my agent was 2007, all previous conversations/emails/texts were from his family or office assistants, yet my policies changed? If you think you have a specific deductible, you better verify because apparently my changed from a phone conversation with an office assistant?
3. If you expect timely responses from this agent, you got the wrong place.
If you call the office during normal business hours expect an office assistant to answer; however, this office assistant lacks the knowledge to provide needed information. This call may result in a returned message days later, not from the agent though, probably family and through an email response that typically will not include requested information. Likewise, it is likely you will continually receive an out of office replay from Mary Theofanis, as she is the one that appears to act as the Insurance agent.
4. If you expect your agent to know your policy (that he by law supposedly wrote) for your current claim(s), you got the wrong place.
After waiting days for my actual agent to be available to speak (asked for in person meeting, got an email from Mary days later with a 9-11 option for a phone conversation. After finallyi getting to speak to may agent, he did not have a clue what he was calling me back about. He just attempted to spread falsehoods (how great State Farm is, how much market share they have, and how his buddies body shop liked State Farm, while constantly dismissing my recent experiences with local body shops smashing State Farm due to their lack of customer care.
Moreover, not only did he not understand why he was calling, dismissed current reality, attempted to offer solutions that was days late (Do you have a garage to park it in? This after window was already replaced 2 weeks early).
Finally, in direct contrast to the reality I told him about: The many local body shops I checked while looking for an estimate, do not want to deal with State Farm and after I just told him the few shops remaining that will deal with State Farm, the earliest was 2 weeks just to give an estimate and 6 months to repair. His advice was: They should tape it up to keep the weather out or they should tape up the bumper when it was a couple weeks even to get in for an estimate and for him to Provide his helpful advice.

5. If you want to be disrespected and blamed by every body shop and glass install company for State Farm’s “screw the customer†policy and delinquent/hard to receive payments, this is your place.
When I called to file a claim on a broken sunroof, I was transferred to a company called Link (initially never even spoke with anyone from State Farm) and told me someone would call in next couple of days. Due to no return call and the weather calling for rain all week, I called them again and was put on hold for Don’s Auto Trim. I was told by the lady that she was not waiting on hold for them to answer, but she did give me a dispatch number if I wanted to wait. Of course, they had no clue what I was talking about when they answered 40 minutes later and the dispatch# was worthless. However, after 5 days and several calls, Don’s Auto Trim was able to get me in to fix the sunroof (still had not heard back from my agent or his office at this point, 6 days after the incident); however, the employees literally did not speak two sentences to me while I was, there except when it was done “Make sure you sign all three copies, It’s hard enough to get our money from State Farmâ€. Furthermore, despite me explaining to Mary Theofanis and the State Farm Claims supervisor (Dave Jensen) how I was treated, they both told me to call back to “tell them they were responsible for removing tape residueâ€. Wrong, I was promptly told by an employee at Don’s that “State Farm does not pay us to remove the tape residue? Mary did later tell me, despite her early wrong information about them being required to fix, that because I put the tape on, I was responsible to remove it.
And……..I was told this was the only place that could be used.
6. IF you want to receive incorrect and late information from your agent and claims supervisor, and then be told days after the repair that you are responsible to pay to remove tape residue, this is your place.
Good Luck and I pray you do not to fill a claim with Tony Theofanis and State Farm.
