Rolling Hills Place

This is where my mother is staying. Some of the staff is ok if not pleasant, but COVID restrictions put a crimp on visiting. At times the people under the care here may be left waiting, but I suppose it's reasonable given the amount of staff on hand. Main problem is they don't accept outside insurance for stuff like dental, so it makes for more paperwork on your own end filing for reimbursements and such. (I guess they want to make money on their own insurance plans? As if such treatment isn't expensive enough already. Not much of an excuse to avoid provider claims from a company with an existing plan that says they will accept.) Also if you don't put your name on some belongings (like a phone), it might not make it to the person you want to receive it. Not all bad, but just enough issues that can be a hassle if you don't work to catch them or stay on top of it.

Beautiful place. Out of a magazine. It's also great that this is run by a not-for-profit.
