Astound Broadband Powered by RCN

I would not even give them maybe 1/2 star and that would be it!! I called to talk to someone about downgrading my service and there was a 20 min wait. So, I used the chat on the Astound website and talked with a Samantha. Anyway, after 20 minutes or more of going back and forth not helping me. And I wanted to go from 1gig speed down to 600mb but was told that is only for new customers which is Bull** crap. Back and forth and finally she tells me that 800 is the next level down and they would have to repackage the service to add back the phone. I would have to call in for that. What a load of crock! So, I told her she waisted my time and hers and thanks for nothing and dropped the chat connection. Less than 2 or 3 minutes later it just so happens that my modem shuts down and reboots. I think I know what Samantha was telling me there. There is nothing to be Astound(ed) about with these guys. Terrible! Bring back Wide-Open West please.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Since Astound purchased WOW our service has been nothing short of horrendous. Constant outings. Some lasting hours. Guest service is absolutely atrocious. It is too bad because WOW service was great. Stay far, far way

Horrible. They bought out our old internet company and we havent had wifi since going on three weeks. Cant get ahold of anyone when I call.
