Quiet Graphics was able to score my wedding place cards excellently and were able to get the job done sooner than expected. But here are 3 instances of poor service by one of their employees which made me waste time when I needed the cards to be done in a timely fashion. 1. I brought in wedding place cards on a USB and formatted the cards to be cut and scored on a standard size sheet (8.5 × 11) of cardstock. The employee told me that they didnt have card stock in the standard size and told me that I had to redo the formatting to fit the custom size of cardstock that the store had in stock. When I asked for a solution, I was told to go to staples and get the cards cut there and bring it back. This solution not only took business away from quiet graphics but also inconvenienced me. They have a sign that says to support your local businesses but how can I do this if you dont have cardstock in standard size and then ask me to go to another store to get the job done which you could easily do? 2. When I came back with my cards cut from staples and showed it to the same employee which helped me initially, she had a shocked look on her face. She stated that I shouldn't have cut the cards and should have just gotten it printed instead of cut. This absolutely floored me because it was her suggestion to have me get it cut in the first place. She continued to explain that the machine they had which scored cards wouldn't take cards this small and was about to turn me away which would have been devastating because I needed this service done for my wedding. Luckily, another more experienced employee had intervened and said that he was able to score the cards despite the size. 3. When they finally decided to score my cards, they said it would take 4 days for the cards to be done. When I left the store, they called me 1 hour later and said they had all the cards scored and ready for pick up. This was good that the job was done ahead of time, but I'm not sure why the employee told me a finish time of 4 days when it could have been done in an hour. This is a huge discrepancy in time and doesn't seem professional because it's an extra trip I have to make to the store. Most may read this and say these issues are minor. But when you need something done quick and stop by a small business like quiet graphics, you want quick and clear customer service which sets itself apart from a store like staples. I had to make 3 trips to quiet graphics to just get a simple job like scoring done when better customer service could have finished this in 2 trips. I had many other printing jobs to be done for my wedding and I settled with staples to do the work due to the poor customer service received from quiet graphics. And when their employee asked me to go to staples to get a job done, it showed me the inability of this business to get the most basic job done. On top of this, they charged me $70 to get the cards scored. Printing and cutting these cards were a fraction of the cost at staples so not sure why they charged $70 for a job that took only an hour. Due to these reasons, this is why I only give 2 stars to quiet graphics for their services. Based on this experience, I also find it hard to support small businesses that dont go the extra mile to set themselves apart from the bigger printing stores in the area.
