    This place is horrible and a scam, took my money twice never came back and fixed AC and then had the nerve to text me and said they completed the work and that I owed them the extra money for the motor they never came back and put in we called someine else to do it when no response and kept delaying the issue. DO NOT USE. They told me send money WU and then said it was not available for pickup so I cancelled to send again and they had the nerve to pick up the cancelled payment and then said sorry they were not sure if they were supposed to and them come to find out from my home buyers they never fixed the AC at all which is why i had even sent them any money at all 1200 they took BIG SCAM Service: AC repair

    PART 2 of EU POST - THIS IS THEFT (WOULD SELECT 0 STARS IF ABLE) The next morning, Sunday 26th, we received a ‘text’ stating that - ‘sorry they missed our calls but they were out of town?!?!?’ Speechless!! And at that moment, I realized that 1) they had not intended to do the job and 2) we were not likely to receive a dime back from the $2800 we paid them! As of today, June 28th, I have been told that a portion of the money will be sent back to my bank account when they can ‘fix’ an issue on their account. That hasn’t happened. The same account Susie received our $2800 payment, is now having issues with returning a portion of that back. I was also told that they sent a portion back via Western Union. I drove to a Western Union only to be told that there is no record or tracking number of money being routed to my name. I was then told by Northern Illinois Heating/Cooling that something was wrong with Western Union?! AGAIN - THIS IS THEFT - plain and simple - and I wanted anyone who is in need of trusted, reliable, professional AC service, to be aware. On the bright side, that Sunday, after my elderly parents were left stranded by Northern Illinois Heating/Cooling, we called Bomar Heating & Cooling. COMPLETELY different experience and extremely professional. Quoted us an estimate, reviewed the issues and completed the job that very same day! NORTHERN ILLINOIS HEATING/COOLING - This is all we hardworking consumers ask - be honest, reliable, trustworthy and complete the work for which you've been paid for.

    THIS IS THEFT - MUST READ! Would give 0 stars if I could: These are the only words I feel would best describe the shameful situation my elderly parents endured while working with NORTHERN ILLINOIS HEATING/COOLING. Essentially, this company was found via the Internet, after my elderly parents AC started having problems. They provided feedback that the entire AC unit would need to be replaced. The total cost would be $2800. They assured me that they were a trustworthy, family business that had been in this line of work for over 20 years. They stated that they needed the full $2800 up front, to obtain the new AC unit and complete the job promptly. This all sounded great to me. I was desperately looking to work with someone who appeared trustworthy, given the fact that I live out of state and have elderly parents trying to manage through 90+ degree weather, at the height of Covid-19. My elderly parents had now been without AC for a few days now and we needed the AC fixed asap. They assured me they would be able to start and complete the job on Saturday, July 25. They stated it would be a 6 hour job. I routed her the requested $2800 to complete the work. Saturday, July 25 arrives and about 11am, I get a call stating that no one has showed up at the house to replace the AC. I asked my parents not to panic as I was sure Northern Illinois Heating/Cooling were probably just running a bit late. I immediately texted them to find out when they would arrive. I waited and waited - no reply. I then began calling every number on their website and also texted them directly as well. I left MANY messages (and texts) asking when they are planning to make it over to my parents while pleading for a call back. The temps were already pushing 90 degrees and my Mom began experiencing breathing issues. I am being COMPLETELY honest when I say this - 1) NOT ONE PERSON RETURNED ANY OF MY CALLS THAT DAY -NOT ONE! & 2) after stating that they were going to start/finish the job that Sat, July 25 - NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP AT MY PARENTS HOME AND NO ONE CALLED TO CANCEL BEFOREHAND!? I have never experienced anything like this in my life. Northern Illinois Heating/Cooling requested $2800 to complete the job. They received the payment promptly. They scheduled the job for Sat, July 25 and NEVER SHOW UP, NEVER CALL TO CANCEL & EVEN WORSE, NEVER RETURNED ANY OF THE MUTIPLE CALLS TO TRY AND FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON? We would have certainly have worked around a bad situation where they called to say, "I’m sorry but something came up and we need to move the job to another day" - BUT WE RECEIVED NOTHING! They essentially left my elderly parents stranded in 90 degree temps, with absolutely no regard for their well being. THIS IS JUST WRONG.
