I did my taxes here and I was told that I would be charged $200. It was decided that it would be taken out of my refund check but instead of taking out $200, they took out $700. Do not do you taxes here, if you do have fun getting your money stolen. This place doesn’t even deserve a full star.

DO NOT DO YOUR TAXES HERE! My friend did her taxes here and she was charged extra! So she went in and was told she was going to be charged 200 dollars. She was asked if she wanted to pay up front or get it taken out of her refund check. She decided to take it out of her refund check because she is a single mother of three and has no extra money. Today she was looking into her stimulus check because she was relying on that money to pay her rent. She was directed to the Republican Bank to see the status. Once she visited the website she saw that she was charged 900 dollars by Jackson Hewitt. She was very upset and called the business. She spoke to a manager and the manager admitted to her being wronged and said his employee should have told her up front how much more she would be charged if it got taken out of her refund check. He then justified it by telling her to compare it to a dealership. That a dealership doesn’t tell you how much they’re going to make off a car because then you wouldn’t buy it. I was blown away by this response. A dealership isn’t going to tell you a car is 10k then once you receive your bill charge you 40k. She was charged more than 4 times the amount she was told. She is upset because that extra 700 dollars could have went to her kids clothes or any necessities they may have. If you go here to do your taxes set some money aside and pay up front because they will charge you more. I have spoken to other people who Have don’t them here and they also went through the same thing.
