TCF Bank

I switched to TCF years ago because of their locations and recently, since I don't use my savings account often, they started charging it a dormant fee and a separate service fee, totaling $14.00 a month. I attempted to transfer funds to my savings account online, but since the account was locked as dormant, I couldn't. I called customer service and they sent me into the branch to have it restored. Realize I have an active checking account with them. They offered to credit only one $10 dormant fee out of the $42 they had taken out of my savings account. Why don't they flag your checking account, so when you're in, they can rectify it? No one says a word about it, despite I'm in every single month. The branch manager said the savings account has been dormant since 2017 and I'm lucky I wasn't being charged that entire time. I'm not feeling grateful. I told him to close the savings account. I get home and noticed Chase is offering up to a $600 bonus to open a checking and / or savings account through them. That should make up for the $42.
