Though I live many miles away, when I realized i'd be visiting a friend just down the street, I called ahead to place my order. It was for my Rosh Hashana dinner; this year the only family i'd be sharing this meal with was Jose, my cat. The food was fantastic. Gefilte fish with nose-stinging horseradish, inCREdible chicken noodle soup- the matzo ball was one of the best i've had... and a gorgeous round challah to top it off. But that wasn't the best part. I received such warmth and kindness on the phone and in person. Laura seemed to actually mean when she wished me a shana tova... and, though i'd never been there before, i felt cared for and connected. Perfect, especially at this time of year. Thank you to the whole gang!

Best bagelS Ive had in 25 years of living here. Not the sawdust bagels at Jewel or the stale bagels of NY Bagels on Touhy nor the tasteless ones at Kauffmans on Dempster. Gordonos bagels are the real thing: so good and fresh no toasting needed: crusty with a good chew. #bestChiBagel #GordonoPharmacy

Great food and conversation.  Had a blast there a couple of days ago, hanging out with my new "deli friends", Ricky and Rafael.  Not only did I get to sample a pastry and taste-test the salmon salad (both of which were delicious and authentic) but I got to take a few pictures with a "giant mensch". (Don't make me explain -- just go there!)  My new favorite Jewish deli!  Can't wait to go back!
