Drums & Piano Lessons by Sol Garnier

I can confidently say Sol is not only an incredible piano instructor, but is one of the best teachers Ive ever had in my life, period! I decided to start learning the piano as an adult beginner and Ive been working with Sol for about 8 months. Sol is an expert in so many ways - not only is he extremely knowledgeable about the piano, he is patient, explains things clearly, makes learning engaging, and is overall just an expert teacher. When Ive wanted to learn a particular song or learn a particular skill, hes always found a way to work in my interests and help me pursue my personal goals with piano. He takes the whole student into account and will talk you through deeper issues you may have on your mind as a musician, like confidence, concerns about your progress, or performance anxiety. He works in anecdotes on things like the meaning of music and what it means to be a musician, all of which have taught me so much. His lessons are challenging but also so fun and enjoyable - I never leave without having had a good laugh. Ive seen him in passing with his younger students, and he seems like hes great with the kids. Overall, if you want to learn piano or have a child who you want to enroll in lessons, you want to get them from Sol.

Ive been taking lesson with Sol for a couple months now and all I can say is that Ive learned so much! I always wanted to learn an instrument and the drums always caught my attention so I decided to finally start back in July. Every week I learn new material and I see my growth. He is also encouraging and makes you laugh! He always makes sure you understand what hes teaching. I tend to be a visual learner so the videos I take of him always help out when I practice after my lesson. Best honest teacher out there

Sol is a wonderful instructor (and humorist)! I began taking lessons with him after my son began taking lessons before Covid. His passion for music and teaching shines through every time we meet, which has been more than inspirational. Me and many of his students travel long distances to take lessons from him...well worth the drive!

Sol has been a great piano teacher for my son. He has just the right amount of energy to keep the lessons fun and interesting, yet serious at the same time. Very happy with how much my son is learning, AND that he's having fun doing it. He teaches out of his home, easy street parking, and a comfortable setting.

My son(7) loves his piano lessons. He looks forward to it every week. And I unapologetically drive an hour to his lessons. He is learning new songs and techniques each week. It has been wonderful to watch him grow into a little pianist. Sol doesn't just teach, he inspires his students. If your son/daughter loves the piano I recommend taking lessons with Sol.
