Hyatt Place Grand Rapids-South

Absolutely horrible hotel. Room still had old sheets and clothes from the previous guests when we checked in. Toilet was making weird noises when flushed and grime was left in the shower. We had cleaning staff come to clean the bathroom again and all they did was make the bed. Front desk staff told us they couldnt do anything for us to shower since cleaning staff left for the day. 0 star hotel

Check-in was quick and easy. The hotel has 4 floors, we were on 3. Tons are a decent size, with a couch that lets a bed as well. The shower was a little weird. It has a glass door that doesn't fit the shower, so it's never enclosed. Also the bathroom is a little cramped. The price of the room was well worth it. They have free breakfast. This is where we will stay when we visit family in Kentwood.

Compared to most Hyatt Place hotels? This place was fair to poor. Bed was broken. Had to remind the desk of room service needs at 5PM. Hilton is nearby. Go there. Nearby activities: This Hyatt is 15 minutes to downtown for less than half the price of downtown hotels.

Great experience staying at the Hyatt in Grand Rapids! Our room was very spacious and exceptionally clean. The staff were very welcoming and location was perfect! Theres a Target, Meijer, and quite a few food places to eat just 5 minutes from here. My only complaint would be how small the bathroom was, but I feel that the large rooms make up for it! My boyfriend and I LOVED the comfortable vibe :))
