Beautiful place, nice people, awesome pools and views, not so hot about theft there in parking lot, and they have no security cameras. Even just for safety. Makes you wonder why a nice place like that wouldn't have cameras and you walk away from your car to take your luggage to room and before you get back, your car is already broke into and no one sees anything. Hmmm such a nice place with no security cameras, you would think a ritzy place you pay top dollar for would have cameras at least for safety reasons. I wonder if they tell you that when they Try and sell you a time share

This is a timeshare-oriented accommodation, so keep that in mind. Pros: - Nice pools (assuming they’re free of bird waste) - Good size units - Staff seem friendly - Seems less sterile than other Westin-branded timeshares - Good BBQ areas - Reservable courtesy suite for 1-hour use after checkout Cons: - Zero transportation; no shuttle service, cabs/Ubers are few and far between (and you may get to your destination, but get stranded) - A single (average) restaurant with very limited hours (11:30am to 7pm) - Nene (goose) and chicken waste EVERYWHERE (not much they can do about that other than hire more people to clean). However, we were also surprised that this isn’t a health department issue…that waste is definitely making its way into the pools on feet and in downpours. - 10am checkout (with no flexibility) - Marriott status does not apply here Overall, the place is fine, but we will never return. Being stranded at one of these resorts is okay if their services are actually available.

Shockingly rude (and honest) customer service. We have been owners in Westin since 2001. This was our first time booking Princeville. I was told and understand the system well enough to know to make requests so I asked for first floor and ocean front. We got neither. I asked at check in to please look, that we pay our fees and have spent 10s of 1000s of hard fought money on Westin timeshare. We were hoping for better. No deal. Basically I have been told by management to my face that they are “fully committed” — euphemism for we’re not fully booked but there are people more important than you. I was also told “it could be worse”… “how would you like if I put you on the parking lot view?” So, upon saying well I guess we have no leverage and you can tell me any lie you want, I got a blank stare- stand in for “yes, that’s true.” So when pushed, the truth about what this resort and the whole timeshare system really thinks about their “valued” customers, comes out.
