I'm always intimidated at any cosmetic everything; staff always friendly and, my oh my, very patient for a gal like me who pretty much does not have a clue about face care much less wearing makeup. Sensitive skin and ego aside, staff know their wonderful products. Very attentive and held my attention even tho I was ready to bolt. Seriously you have to see them!

I remember coming to Merle Norman when I was younger to get my first lobe earrings. I have sensitivities to certain metals so I wanted to find a place that had more options and awareness for these concerns without such stark prices. For the experience itself, the piercer was courteous and sanitary. She was helpful when I needed to choose my earrings and walked me through the process. She was very precise with the placement of the earrings. For the gold earrings I chose, it came out to $40 which is pretty reasonable!I will mention that they use a gun rather than a straight needle that is typically used at tattoo shops. Unfortunately, I don't think the metal I chose worked for me and I ended up having to take out my piercings as they got infected. Overall, I'm writing this review based on my encounter with the piercer who did the great job, but I think in hindsight, it may be better to go to a tattoo shop given they probably have more experience and options for jewelry sensitive individuals. Parking: Merle Norman is located in the Ward Warehouse so there's a lot of parking available in their parking lot!

I've been wanting to re-pierce my ears for a long time, and remembered that I had them done here, when they were still in Ward Warehouse about 15 years ago (WOW i'm old lolol). They're now located in Ward Centre. I went in with the intention of just asking for the price so I could think about it, but the worker, Karen, was super friendly and helpful and made me feel so welcome that I ended up just getting them done right then and there! Ear piercings are free with a purchase of earrings. There were quite a few to choose from - colored stones, gold, silver, pearl, etc. and they ranged from about $30-70. I chose the gold ones for $33. I told her how scared I was she reassured me that it would just be a pinch. She was very careful with the process and made sure everything looked good before she did anything. The ear piercing took no more than 5 minutes, and I was in and out in about 10 minutes total.
