    My recent experience was extremely disappointing. The preferred plus customer counter was the worst. There was a long line but only 1 staff who was very slow. After enduring a 30-minute wait, I attempted to utilize the regular customer counter, where two staff members were free, only to be redirected back to the preferred counter saying they have different cars. Upon returning, the wait persisted, and the service was neither polite nor efficient. Despite being a preferred plus customer entitled to a free upgrade when there's availability, the staff member, without even verifying their system, just informed me that no other cars were available. Furthermore, I was incorrectly directed to a parking spot designated for another customer's vehicle, resulting in unnecessary inconvenience as I had to move all my belongings to a different car. Fortunately the drop off experience was smooth. But this pick up experience is the worst I've encountered in my rental car history. I hope Avis addresses these issues promptly to prevent future customers from facing similar frustrations.
