The AVIS at the Sheraton Waikiki location is HORRIBLE! The cars are FILTHY, the front desk guy is lost, the line is long, and it takes forever to get out of the parking garage.

Great location and great rates. Plenty of cars if you book more than 24 hours ahead. Not much last minute. No key drop but can park in the garage overnight and return keys the next morning. Note there are two parking garages. The first on the right is not the one. Take the second right then a left.

FYI, this Avis location allows you to drop off the car anytime 24 hours in the parking garage, but you need to drop off the key **only during the business hours**. There is no drop off box for car keys (as in March 2024) Otherwise, this location is great. Staff were super friendly. Cars are in good conditions in general. And picking up and returning are relatively easy.

Great experience with the rental. Very friendly staff and seamless pickup/drop off process. They were out of stock of the cheapest car, so I got to use the expensive one for the same price. Absolutely lovely experience.

Used when staying at Sheraton Waikiki. Rent a car for one day and head towards Diamond Head - Farmers - Haleiwa. It looks like we'll leave around 8:30 and arrive around 18:30. Reception starts at 8:00, but if you have time, it will go smoothly if you line up about 15 minutes early. There is a 15 to 20 minute line each time. After getting the key and parka ticket, go to the 7th floor of the Sheraton multi-storey parking. The number is attached to the key, so look for it or press the key and honk the horn to find it. The exit is on the 1st floor, so you can't use the automatic payment machine [If you put it in by mistake, it will show you about 75 dollars] There is a person in front of the payment machine, so give them your parking ticket and show them your Avis contract. Now you can exit the gate. If you are heading towards Diamond, go from right to left on Kalakawa Avenue, and towards Ala Moana, go left. To return, take a parking ticket, put it in the sun, and park on the 7th floor. Give the key to the receptionist around 7:30 the next day and you're done.
