Heater made weird noise as if would break

I give the hotel one star because I paid for a non-smoking room (since I brought my children), and the entire room smelt just like an ashtray. My daughter with asthma would not stop coughing the entire time. Front desk girl was sweet, but they were all booked. No other rooms available. Apart from the room not being non- smoking, our tv was also not working. The kids were bored. Although the beds are comfortable, were definitely NEVER coming back.

Friendly service, great location, and very clean. We enjoyed our nights we spent there. Missed out on the breakfast because we slept late on the comfortable bed.
Nearby activities: Has a large amount of shopping stores across the street.
Food & drinks: Was in the middle of all the fast food or dine in restaurants. Had a great variety in minutes of leaving the hotel.

Disappointed. The staff was pleasant although we saw only two of them (the woman at the front desk, & another woman briefly at breakfast). The room was surprisingly small considering the price we paid (over $100) with barely enough space for two people to pass by each other. It was clean, smelling strongly of cleaning fluid. The biggest disappointment was breakfast, & I saw other reviews complaining about it: weak coffee, two choices of sugary cereals, Frosted Flakes & Fruit Loops, sugary muffins, white bread & bagels, no whole grain products of any kind, the waffle iron didn't work properly, resulting in improperly cooked waffles that had to be thrown out. We expected better, & other reviews agree. This is not the quality we hoped to see from a Baymont motel.
