Being Dutch, but having lived in the US for close to 30 years, I have be schlepping quite some stroopwafels with me in my suitcase back to DC.I thought this ordeal was over when certain stroopwafels started to show up in grocery stores and well known coffee shops, but was soon very disappointed in how dry and tasteless these turned out to be. When, on a recent trip to the Netherlands my suitcase was too full to add stroopwafels I searched the internet to see whether I could order real Dutch stroopwafel and have them shipped to me in the US. During this search I stumbled on the 3bros stroopwafels, liked their story and ordered them, not holding my breath, but hoping they would be decent. Imagine my very pleasant surprise when they turned out to be DELICIOUS, and the BEST stroopwafels I have ever had! My husband, and son also rank these stroopwafels as the best they have ever tasted. We are purists when it comes to stroopwafels in that and we will only have the original caramel stroopwafels, but since these originals taste so to very good, we might venture out to the other versions as well. For the 3bros family: Heel erg lekkere stroopwafels, beter dan de beste van de markt or zelfs de banketbakker!
