Bebe's Cottage

My father-in-law was a resident at Bebe’s Cottage for two years after a 10 year long stent at “the gardens of Sandy Springs/Emeritus/Brookdale Sandy Springs(bought out twice)”. It was the best two years that our family had since he needed assisted living. As long time caregivers for my father-in-law, We really were able to relax knowing that Mrs. Charles was on top of everything from Personal Care to Food to drug maintenance and safety. Rena the main caregiver is the sweetest woman and is almost always there. While my father-in-law had to move to nursing care I treasure the memories of our visits. The house is modest & even with all the improvements it doesn’t glisten with newness. But it was always clean and the food was always fresh and homemade. The attention was warm and heartfelt. There was always somebody there, & because there are so few residents there was always a feeling of family among the group. Many of the residents left to do senior activities during the day. My father-in-law preferred to stay. When it got too hard to take him out we had some wonderful family time in the small dining room downstairs. You will never get the kind of personalized attention at a larger Assisted Living that we saw at Bebe’s Cottage. There isn’t an parade of new CNA’s and orderlies. Mrs. Charles runs a tight ship and values her employees so there isn’t a lot of turnover. She is very bright and always available. I felt like we had a real advocate in his personal care when he was there. I actually miss it, Mrs. Charles and Rena.
