A Cobbler's Corner

I needed a 1/4" lift put into the sole of two pairs of SAS sandals ($180/ea. pair). I showed former shoes that were done, offered he keep one of my old sandals and even remove the lift and reapply it to the new shoes I brought in. He (the owner) said he didn't need them, he knew what to do. He rquired I pay $102. up front. Then when I returned for the shoes the next week, he had glued something quite different on, not leather, not rubber, black something which was hard and stiff as a board. I refused them because they wouldn't bend with any normal foot while walking. He said he'd sand down the area from the arch to the toe, making that portion thinner and maybe bendable. I took them the next week. Tried them twice and had terrible pain in my damaged left leg (that's why I have to wear a lift in the first place!). Both sandals were simply unable to be used due to its heavy flatness. I took them back (each trip is 16 miles one way) and told him I want them removed from both shoes and I want my money back. Then, I said, well, you worked on them, so I want HALF my money back. I went back to get them (5th trip) and to get a refund. I got the shoes, but the owner refused to refund any money at all. This man and his shop will cheat you! P.S. I took the shoes to Lee's Shoe Repair only a few blocks away on W. Kennedy Blvd. and he did a great job! I recommend Lee's hands down.

I came in late on a Saturday and got my shoes back on a Sunday afternoon. Totally worth it, they are perfect now!

Showed up to pick up my shoes after getting some lifts installed .Both my shoes needed more tapering , didn't hesitate in doing everything right on the spot. I greatly appreciated the service now I've talked with my insurance carrier and I only want there business. Two thumbs up!
