If your thinking about getting this done, come to TLC ASAP! I had been admittedly scared of getting the procedure for years and now wish I had done it sooner, but now I’m really excited to enjoy this new way of seeing the world. This whole process has been wonderful, the TLC staff were super informative, friendly, and amazingly efficient. The surgery process was very quick and the staff/doctors made me feel very comfortable by explaining everything related to the process, from what the actual experience would be like, things to expect afterwards and how best to heal after surgery. I cannot thank the team at TLC enough for their kindness, professionalism and abilities in eye surgery!

Having LASIK at TLC was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself! I was nervous going in, but the care coordinator, Kelly, calmed my fears. She thoroughly explained the process, financials, and planned the whole experience. Her guidance was coupled by Dr. Hair’s pre appointment consults. I went into surgery calm and will full confidence. The surgeon did an incredibly quick procedure that rendered me with perfect vision! Going from significantly impaired vision, to 20/20 in 5 minutes is an unbelievable experience. I highly recommend TLC to anyone looking to change their vision and life for the better.

I was referred by two of my coworkers who had Lasik done at TLC and spoke very highly of them. I ended up having the same experience. Very professional, kind and not a sales push unlike LasikPlus. Painless and fast recovery too. Almost 20/15 vision just 2 days after surgery.

I admit that I was skeptical after reading all the gleaming reviews before choosing TLC. As Lasik is not a common occurrence, it's difficult to compare or know what to expect. After knowing I could get a discount through my medical insurance, I called the Lasik coordinator company Qualsight first. They helped me choose between two in the Tampa Bay area. Just based on information from them, I chose TLC due to the experience of the doctor (Dr Manning) performing the surgery, the lifetime guarantee, and the amount of years TLC has been doing this and that I have heard of them. I then looked up the reviews and was impressed with my decision. I booked a consult, easily found the location in the pretty building next to the International Mall with easy and available parking. The entire staff at TLC is amazing. Friendly, personable, and extremely willing to help with anything. I can't believe how they went above and beyond. You can tell they all know what they are doing. Even with a couple hiccups, they were no problem to resolve. I was obviously excited and nervous at the same time the day of my surgery. There is a little bit of pressure on each eye during the procedure, so make sure to not move like I did! When you see your regular eye doctor for your pre-op evaluation, make sure they don't charge you as TLC will arrange payment with them. If you have a high deductible medical plan and have met your deductible, get all of your prescriptions arranged prior to the surgery so they're covered before your deductible resets, especially if you need the dry eye drops. I booked my pre-op and my surgery on the same day since I was coming from Pinellas County and didn't want to make another day trip there. You definitely cannot drive after surgery. I drove to surgery, left my car there overnight in the garage arranged by TLC. Ubered home and then got a ride to my follow up the next day, then drove myself home. I preferred my next day follow up to be done by TLC and not my regular eye doctor. You will definitely sleep and have trouble seeing after your surgery so plan a full day off. I took the next day off to ensure that I was not straining my eyes on anything and just took it really easy. That night, I felt like I had a cold with congestion and a sore throat due to the excessive drainage but it was gone by morning. I immediately had 20/20 by the next day and during the day, it's crystal clear. It's still soon to tell why, as I am waiting for my week follow up with my regular eye doctor, but car lights at night have a weird halo around them now so will need to find out what that is about. It's hard to see in the "visual" dark (not pitch black but with very dim light), seems fuzzy still but it's only been 4 days and I'm still on the 4 different eye drops I'm taking multiple times a day. I use a medication app on my phone to track them all and remind me. My eyes are extremely dry in the morning (as if I slept in my contacts) when I wake so use those lubricating drops every two hours. I can see my computer screens without any glasses. And can read regular print without reading glasses. Overall, I can't tell you enough how excited that I was able to get this done and can see again "naturally". I'm happy that I waited for the newer technology and was able to eligible for the custom bladeless operation. Thank you TLC! Outstanding job!
