Read the reviews of Payless Car Rentals in San Juan and let these franchises suffer for not cleaning up that rip off chain of their business. Over 250 reviews at an average of1.3 star ... 90% one stars

Adrian was very helpful in explaining their policies. Although I was traveling out of state and not able to use them, I will definitely consider them if I need a rental for travel within FL only.

Very disappointed in this car rental company. First of all, they were a bit hard to find. Signs were not very clear. When we went to the counter we were greeted by a young gentleman. He was getting all the paperwork prepared but was delayed from having to call my insurance company for proof of insurance. This is the first time I have been asked for this information. At all other car rental company's I am insured with my credit card. In the end he could not get a hold of them and took my word that I had insurance. Then they give you a waiver to sign and on it there is a fee of 9.95US per day for a toll pass that you have no choice but to purchase if you are not a US resident. Nowhere in the agreement on there booking site did they disclose this information. We had no intentions of using a toll road and were told if we didn't pay, we wouldn't be able to rent the car. To me this is very deceitful. I would have never rented from them if I would have known this prior to booking the car. It cost us another 70US for nothing. Then when returning the car there were no signs on the 3rd level as to where the car was to be returned. I had to ask another rental agency where i was to return the car. Once I parked the car, there was no one there to check me out. I had to go back down to the rental booth and hand in the keys. All the attendant asked me is if i had gotten into an accident and that was check out. This is a very mickey mouse operation with poor customer service and deceitful charges. They have lost me as a customer, lesson learned. If i could have, i wouldn't have even given it a 1 star rating but had no choice.
