This company is incompetent. For the appraisal they used comprables over six months old, even though that there were comprables that were only 1 to 2 months. My bank hired this company to do the home appraisal for my refinance. It was a joke. I bought my house a year ago and have since added an in ground pool and spa, new landscaping and new a/c unit. David Boone appraised my house $500 more than another company apppraised it a year ago. If you have a choice on who to hire for appraisal, I would NOT recommend this company. I was totally ripped off by paying $450 for an inaccurate appraisal that caused me to be unable to refinance. Obviously, I would never have spent $750 to refinace my house if i didn't think it would appraise much higher. I did my home work and based on recent home sales within a mile of my house with approximate rooms and square feet, my house should have appraised $45,000 more than Boone and Associates appraised it. Buyer beware. Hopefully banks will take along hard look at Boone and Associates and see that they are under appraising homes in the Sarasota area.
